DESSC Alumni - Saarah Karim

From FS2 at DESS to Head Girl at DESC, Saarah Karim spent 14 years in the DESSC family before ultimately moving on to study Medicine at the University of Oxford. Saarah recently took a nostalgic trip reliving her entire journey throughout DESS and DESC, before she set off for Oxford. She reminded herself of the great memories she created; the sports days, the school plays, the school trips, whilst even reuniting with her Year 3 teacher, Mr Frost, Year 2 teacher, Mrs Muir and even her PE teacher, Mr Lohe! Saarah also met the DESS Head Boy and Head Girl to share her most valuable lessons and advice. She then refreshed her memory of Secondary School and Sixth Form life at DESC, having conversations with her English Teacher, Mr. Flynn who supported her during one of her fondest memories, winning the World Scholars Cup. As well as her Year 13 Head of Year, Miss Dave who lauded her boost in confidence and public speaking. Before officially rounding off her 14 year DESSC journey fittingly, in the Principal’s office with Mr Gibbs, for the final goodbyes. Check out Saarah’s DESSC journey…
